NO YOUNGER SIBLING VOLUNTEERS

In order to ensure safety and minimize distractions to the learning environment, district policy requires that volunteers not bring infants or non-school age children when volunteering where students are present.  Volunteers are asked to make arrangements for off-campus child care.

Volunteers

BE-A-MENTOR

SRVUSD uses Be-A-Mentor's Volunteer Management System for all adults who wish to volunteer on a school campus or drive/chaperone day and overnight school trips and athletic events. This Volunteer Management System features a web-based software application that allows the District and all schools to better track and provide the appropriate level of clearance for school volunteers.

ALL adult volunteers MUST be cleared before they can volunteer on campus, chaperone on field trips or drive on school trips.

The District will NOT be asking parents to incur any of the costs associated with these clearance processes.
Here is some important information and links that may help you as you go through the process.
Driver’s License requirements: A California driver’s license is required for all school trip drivers. Drivers with out of state or out of country licenses will not be able to drive on school trips.

Insurance requirements: The insurance Declarations page must include the following:
  • Name of the insurance company
  • Name as an insured driver (both first and last name must match the applicant name)
  • Policy expiration date
  • Minimum coverage as follows:
    • Bodily injury of $100,000 per person personal injury and $300,000 per incident personal injury
    • $25,000 property damage
