ABOUT SHARK FUND
Thank you for your interest in Shark Fund! Shark Fund is a 100% parent funded, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing each student with programs that enhance the quality of education they receive at Sycamore. Shark Fund donations consist of parent donations, corporate matches, business givebacks, and auction funds raised in partnership with PTA that help support over $250,000 in critical staff, programs and resources every year.
Shark Fund invests in the following programs:
- Rainbow Room to provide social development support for TK-3 students
- Reading Intervention for grades TK-5
- Trained Paraeducators in every classroom (4 hours/week per classroom, supporting TK-5th grade classes working with students individually and in small groups)
- Librarian's salary, enabling weekly classroom visits for all students
- Physical Education class for TK & Kindergartners (30 minutes, twice per week, to enable small group instruction)
- Supplemental Office Hours to support Sycamore's community
These programs are possible thanks to generous donations from parents and volunteers. Sycamore has been recognized as a California Distinguished & Gold Ribbon school, and your support ensures your students stay on top. Thank you again for your support!

Shark Fund's suggested donation is $575 per student for the 2024-2025 school year to support ongoing programs.
This voluntary donation is one of the lowest in the district and is due to the high participation rate of Sycamore families who contribute to Shark Fund each year.
